🐧Penguins can’t fly, but they are excellent swimmers, using their flippers like wings to “fly” through the water.
🐧There are 18 different species of penguins, and not all of them live in icy places—some live in warmer climates!
🐧Penguins are very social and often huddle together to stay warm and safe.
🐧A group of penguins in the water is called a raft, while on land it’s called a waddle.
🐧Penguins can recognize each other’s voices, even in a noisy crowd.
🐧The smallest penguin, the Little Blue Penguin, is only about 12 inches tall.
🐧Penguins help remind us how important it is to protect oceans and wildlife habitats around the world.
